After graduating with my M.Div. from American Baptist Seminary of the West in 1975, I ministered at Grace Baptist Church of San Jose for thirteen years, ten of them as the Senior Pastor.

The Graduate Theological Union is pleased to announce that two doctoral students, Leslie Bowling-Dyer and Diandra Chretain, who began their studies in Fall 2012, are also in the 2012 class of The Fund for Theological Education (FTE) North American Doctoral Fellows.

Jake Lavarone seemed to spend his last days in a peaceful repose. Attended by the best medical professionals with his loving family always by his side, Jake appeared to be going out in the best way possible. Yet it is whispered that his decline might not have been natural after all.
