Meet the author! Composer Ken Canedo is coming to Jesuit School of Theology on Thursday, September 13 at 4:00pm to give a presentation on his new book, FROM MOUNTAINS HIGH: Contemporary Catholic Music 1970 - 1985. Ken will share stories and songs from the St. Louis Jesuits, Monks of Weston Priory, Bob Hurd, John Michael Talbot, Sister Juliana Garza, David Haas and more, as he examines the cultural and ecclesial influences that shaped today’s liturgical music. After five decades as a GTU affiliate, the School of Applied Theology will be ending its current programs in June 2018; its mission of offering sabbatical programs for clergy and laity will continue through the JST Renewal Program at the Jesuit School of Theology.

Dr. Naomi Seidman, Koret Professor of Jewish Culture at the GTU’s Center for Jewish Studies, has been awarded the inaugural Borsch-Rast Book Prize and Lectureship for her 2016 book, The Marriage Plot.
