What does the Head of Collection Development do?

He or she will select the books! Print books, e-books, but also our journals, databases, DVDs, and anything else you might use at the library for your research.

You are invited to hear the candidates speak on the following topic:

This final workshop in the series looks at putting everything together with a thorough syllabus as the end-product.  Ideas for drafting weekly lesson plans are also discussed.

Performing concrete assessment is an important part of a course.  One important tool is the grading rubric.  This workshop provides ideas for creating rubrics, adding them to Moodle, and using Moodle’s gradebook to do all the math for assessment.

In the last couple of years, “gamification” has become an important component in education.  This workshop introduces participants to the interaction and mechanic aspects of game theory to construct educational games.
