The Mazatlán Forum - Crossing Borders: Examining Political, Economic and Social Assumptions in the US and Mexico

The Mazatlán Forum is the result of the initiative of DSPT Fellow Agnieszka Winkler, and the collaboration of El Colegio de Sinaloa and DSPT, who together have organized the inaugural Mazatlán Forum.The forum exists for the sake of encouraging cross-cultural dialogue and innovative, thoughtful deliberation about problems that are relevant to the United States, Mexico and society more broadly.

Baptismal Theology and Practice in the Age of St. Thomas Aquinas - DSPT Annual Aquinas Lecture

Fr. Augustine Thompson, OP will examine new discoveries about the liturgical and social significance of baptism in the cities of thirteenth-century Italy. These developments will be compared with the development of the theology of baptism from the twelfth century to Thomas Aquinas in the late thirteenth.

Krzysztof Kieślowski’s The Decalogue

Join us to watch one, several, or all of these artistic, probing, and daring investigations into the human condition. The Decalogue was produced in 1989 for Polish television, and consists of ten 1-hour films, each loosely based on one of the Ten Commandments. This series will be hosted by DSPT Fellow, Ron Austin, a Hollywood screenwriter and producer. Conversation to follow each screening.
