Madrasa-Midrasha Calligraphy Workshop

The Madrasa-Midrasha Program at the GTU is delighted to welcome you to an evening of interactive Hebrew and Arabic calligraphy. The event will feature presentations by Peretz Wolf-Prusan and Arash Shirinbab moderated by Carol Bier. The workshop will be in-person with limited space, so please register at the link below. Snacks and socializing to follow.

"Becoming Elijah: Prophet of Transformation" with Author Daniel C. Matt

Join the Richard S. Dinner Center for Jewish Studies for a talk with former GTU professor, and current GTU Scholar in Residence, Dr. Daniel C. Matt. Dr. Matt will speak about his new book Becoming Elijah: Prophet of Transformation (Yale University Press, 2022). The book explores the zealot-turned-compassionate hero, tracing how Elijah develops from the Bible to Rabbinic Judaism, Kabbalah, and Jewish ritual (as well as Christianity and Islam).
