Join us for "Hideouts: The Architecture of Survival in the Holocaust," a program and reception co-hosted by Taube Philanthropies, The Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life, and UC Berkeley Center for Jewish Studies, and co-sponsored by the Richard S.

Join author Kaya Oakes (Continuing Lecturer in College Writing, UC Berkeley) for a book talk about her recently published The Defiant Middle: How Women Claim Life's In-Betweens to Remake the World, followed by a conversation with Professor Ronit Stahl (Professor of History, Interim Administrative Chair of the Religious Diversity Cluster, UC Berkeley). 

Dr. Vicki Spencer, author of Toleration in Comparative Perspective, will join panels from the Graduate Theological Union and UC Berkeley to discuss the idea of toleration with particular emphasis on and reaction to the terrorist attack on two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand.
