Discussions forums are one of the more common tools that instructors use to provide collaborative activities for their students on Moodle. However, a discussion forum is only one out of many effective ways to provide interactive and collaborative learning for your students. This workshop introduces participants to various collaborative learning activities that Moodle and Voicethread have to offer for both in-class and online courses.
This workshop provides basic and intermediate tips on how to create effective presentations and lectures for your online course using Voicethread through Moodle, Microsoft Powerpoint, and other platforms. Topics include: how to design and develop learning content, different ways to deliver your learning content on the Moodle platform, and ideas for incorporating interactive and collaborative content into your online course presentations. RSVP to Diandra Erickson derickson@gtu.edu, Director of Digital Learning.

An online learning environment can differ from a face-to-face learning environment in significant ways. As a result, an effective online course syllabus may not be structured the same as a syllabus for an in-class course. This workshop provides strategies for creating a course syllabus that is conducive with the realities of asynchronous and synchronous online learning. This workshop will also discuss ways to revise an existing in-class course syllabus to an online course syllabus. RSVP to Diandra Erickson derickson@gtu.edu,
