The Richard S. Dinner Center for Jewish Studies at the Graduate Theological Union cordially invites you to a reception in honor of Naomi Seidman for twenty years of inspirational scholarship, teaching and leadership at the GTU. 

Please join us for the event on March 16th, 2015 at 1:00pm at the GTU Library, 2400 Ridge Road, Berkeley CA. We look forward to gathering Naomi’s students, colleagues, and close collaborators to celebrate her achievements. 

 

“'Sing – now! – to God!' Miriam and Moses.” With Avivah Zornberg.

The history of Miriam, the prophetess who speaks enviously of her brother Moses, offers an intimate glimpse of the tensions between brother and sister, both leaders, both prophets. Midrashic material will illuminate this mysterious relationship.
